In the first few seasons, he was also the captain of ‘Bengal Tigers’ in the Celebrity Cricket League. On 18 September 2013, he became the brand ambassador of ‘Big Bazaar’. He launched the ‘Times Food Guide 2012’ in Kolkata. In 2005, ‘Thums Up’ launched him as their brand ambassador at a special Durga Puja campaign in West Bengal.
